about senior cat pictures.

Senior Cat Pictures LLC is an independent film production company founded by filmmaker and director Renzo Montoya BASED IN NYC AND NJ.

The Focus…

Senior Cat Pictures produces bold, raw, uncompromising, not so perfect, and even ugly type of cinema that pushes creative boundaries through a distinctive voice, world building, and story-driven filmmaking. Beyond developing original projects, founder Renzo Montoya uses the company as a platform to produce and support emerging directors whose voices deserve to be heard alongside with him.

Films under the Senior Cat Pictures banner have screened at festivals including Slamdance Film Festival, Soho International Film Festival, and Montclair Film Festival, among others. The company also expands its reach through our show “BareBulb”, an exclusive podcast for filmmakers hosted by director and collaborative partner Jose Saborio, creating a space for creative voices, conversations, and perspectives that help shape the next wave of independent directors across the Tri-State area.
